LESSON 5: Read words accurately; don't guess
OBJECTIVE: The learner will understand that he must read
a word, not guess at or skip it.
In Lesson 4, we learned to guess at the meaning of words. However, we
don't guess at reading words. It is important to read each word
accurately because one or more letters can change the entire picture.

The chicken is tiny. |
Have the learner read the first sentence in the top pair and tell or draw
you the picture. Do the same with the second sentence in the pair.
Continue with the next sentence pair.
If the learner can accurately describe or draw the picture,
go to Lesson 6.
Otherwise, make up some sentences or continue with the additional sentences below.
