Dear Parents and Educators,

I started MINDPLAY in 1986 with the mission to help my special needs son succeed in school. Just a few short years ago, my son graduated from high school.

My mission was complete, or so I thought.

Faced with a newly emptied nest, I realized that my original mission was not complete. I hadn't solved the mystery. What was it that caused my very bright, learning disabled son to have such difficulty? You see, I understood the frustrations he had experienced through the years, as I too had a reading disability. My new mission was to find a solution to this mystery.

I found my solution when I met reading specialist and speech pathologist Jim Larrabee three years ago. Jim has an unparalleled track record spanning 25 years of teaching students to read--students no one else could teach. Jim and I have collaborated to develop a program that combines his successful reading method with state-of-the-art artificial intelligence technology. The result is My Reading Coach,

We have been using the program for the last two years with students from ages 7 to 53, many of whom have been labeled ADHD, learning disabled or simply "unable to learn." All of the students in our pilot studies have broken through their perceived limitations and have learned essential reading skills.
