Homeschooling Information and Resources

Overview*

Homeschooling in the United States is on the rise, with more and more parents setting up a home school curriculum for their children. Experts believe that the number of U.S. children taught in homeschools ranges from 500,000 to one million.

New technology is also driving the increase in homeschooling. Online assessments and sophisticated software are now available that evaluate how much a child knows about a subject, design lessons to fit the child's needs, and test how well the material has been learned.
