Ace Detective™
Demo
Learners use the latest weapon in crime fighting technology as they take on the identity of Ace Detective Paul or his trusty partner, Paula. Learners solve the city's entire data bank of crimes as they read reports, conduct interviews, phone witnesses and examine mug shots to determine the method and motive of the crime. By organizing information and drawing conclusions, learners practice critical reading and decision-making skills. Create your own crime stories for others to solve!
Ace Explorer™
Demo
Ready to explore the universe? The databanks have crashed, and we need to piece together the facts of a lost civilization. The galaxy needs you - Ace Explorer - to interview aliens, research phone leads, and search through planetary databanks to find the "whole tale" while learning the importance of sequence to a story. Create your own stories, and then use them in the game.
Ace Inquirer™
Demo
Hot Stuff is TV's newest talk show. Learners take on the role of a talk show host and use the latest technology to untangle mixed messages as they uncover the truth. Learners interview guests, explore telephone leads, and research information in the library to determine if the guest's statement is a fact or an opinion. Create your own stories then use them on the show.
Ace Publisher™
Demo
Want to be president of your own book publishing company? You can do it with Ace Publisher™. Learners use their grammar and punctuation skills with the help of a friendly robot to edit stories. Then they determine how many books to print and try to outsmart the competition as they get their books to market. Students may write their own stories and import them for other students to edit.
Ace Reporter™
Demo
Extra... Extra... Read All About It! As the news breaks, you are there! You must snoop out the facts and get the copy to press before your competitors! Learners follow leads, conduct telephone interviews, answer Who, What, When, Where, Why or How questions, and choose a headline that best summarizes their story. And just for fun, student reporters can write their own stories!
Fraction-Oids 1™ Demo
First in a series of three programs that makes the concept of a fraction concrete through visualization and experimentation. The Fraction-Oids care about others and use their knowledge of fractions to share things. However, the evil Queen Grudgeon, who doesn't like to share, has succeeded in locking up the Fraction-Oids! The player's job as spaceship commander is to free the Fraction-Oids. The visual experimentation approach ensures a firm foundation for learning more advanced math concepts. The teacher or parent can optionally turn off the game portion of the program.
Fraction-Oids 2™
Demo
This is the second in a series of three programs allowing the learner to experiment with fractions. Now armed with a new weapon, Frozen Fire Spheres, Queen Grudgeon is again capturing Fraction-Oids and locking them into Dungeon Balls. Building on skills learned in Fraction-Oids 1, learners experiment with fractions, by making either denominators or numerators bigger or smaller. Changing the denominator or the numerator can drastically change the magnitude of the fraction. After some practice, correct answers will make sense graphically as well as numerically. The teacher can optionally turn off the game portion of the program.
Fraction-Oids 3™
Demo
This is the final program in a series of three that allows learners to explore fractions visually. Learners must transport Evil Queen Grudgeon via spaceship back to Fractonia for her trial. While on this perilous mission, they are helped along as they answer questions and experiment with multiplication and division of fractions. Learners are given a meaningful graphical representation of a fraction and students must interact with these graphical representations to solve the problems. Learners explore multiplying and dividing fractions of unity, proper and improper fractions, and mixing them together to multiply or divide.
Jo-Jo's Reading Circus™
Demo
This is the first in Jo-Jo's five part early learning adventure. Children watch and read selected vocabulary. Animation of words and sentences keep students focused and learning. As children watch and read selected vocabulary, the words team up to form animated sentences. When children master concepts, they earn tickets to enter the Circus and play games. Jo-Jo, with the help of Juggles the Juggler and Careful the Acrobat, introduces 22 word families with two letter endings: at, ag, ig, an, ap, ar, ay, et, ed, ee, en, id, in, ip, it, og, op, ow, oy, ug, up, us. If your computer has a microphone, children can read aloud, record and play their recordings.
Prime-Mates™
Demo
In this fast paced game, blocks are falling and creating a Time Barrier. Prime-Mates will soon be locked in the blocks. You must save them! A fast paced action game gives learners practice with prime numbers and factors as they learn to recognize prime factors. Learners gain experience understanding the difference between a prime number and a composite number, making it easier to handle fractions with uncommon denominators.
Race the Clock™
Language Arts Demo
The race is on and time is running out! It's Moeb against Ticker the Clock. Can you find all of the pairs before Ticker counts down to zero? If you can, Moeb will win a ribbon. Learners match synonyms, antonyms, and homonyms and are provided with practice associating verb forms such as comparative and irregular singular/plural pairs. Students can also create their own word pair sets.
Word Hound™
Demo
Chip Cheesewich, our friendly mouse, must escape Chester the Hound's maze. You help Chip each time you answer the hound's questions about objects that match and objects that belong together in a group. Learners practice elementary language art skills such as vocabulary development and word recognition. They are introduced to 300 common vocabulary words in 15 different categories. This program can also be customized for learners with special needs.
