MindPlay Virtual Reading Coach (MVRC) has an embedded diagnostic assessment that determines a student’s unique lesson plan. Students only take the lessons they really need, so their time is used most efficiently.

Thanks to MVRC’s assessment, which automatically and adaptively assesses reading abilities, the students receive differentiated instruction and practice only in their areas of need. MindPlay^® recognizes that each student learns to read differently so after the assessment all students receive unique, targeted, and  tailored reading instruction.

MVRC’s assessment is based on the understanding that learning to read is dependent on the following skills: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Vocabulary, Comprehension and Fluency. A problem in any one area will undermine reading comprehension.

MVRC’s assessment will also test for eye function, so if the barriers to reading can be resolved with the proper prescription for eye glasses, the program will make that recommendation. All aspects of reading are assessed, so MVRC can deliver a reading curriculum that will bring fluency and success.
