After completing the assessment, we'll provide you with specific recommendations to help you or your child improve your reading skills!
This free web-based assessment will assess your phonics skills and reading comprehension level. Although others may find the tests interesting to complete, the accuracy of the assessment has not been validated beyond tenth grade.
The test consists of two parts:
Phonics
A Reading Coach will say words or syllables aloud. Choose what he said from a list.
Comprehension
As you read stories insert the missing words from a list of possible choices. Select words in context with the entire story.
The test taking time ranges from 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the test taker's skills. Each section of the test will automatically stop when it begins to exceed the test taker's ability level. The time you require to finish the test is recorded, but it is not used in determining your performance level.
You can complete the assessment in one session or save your work and complete it over multiple sessions. Stop at any time by clicking Home. We will e-mail instructions to you for resuming the test at the point where you left off. After you complete the test, we will e-mail instructions for viewing your results online.
