My Reading Coach is a reading software program that provides a personal reading specialist and speech pathologist for every student, producing dramatic results in the classroom.
- Initial testing ensures that each student is automatically assigned only those lessons that are needed
- Each lesson begins with an emulated teacher providing interactive instruction
- Your child progresses at his or her own pace through the program, repeating lessons or activities until mastery is achieved
- Each student is given unique, specific feedback based on his or her responses
- The program automatically adjusts the reading comprehension level based on your child's performance
- An optional Spanish module allows students to be instructed in Spanish to learn English
Lessons teach phonics, phonemics awareness, syntactic processing, grammar and reading comprehension in a structured, easy to understand environment. Students learn:
- Correct sound pronunciation and letter formation
- To spell English words by learning underlying patterns vs. memorization
- Rules and easy to remember strategies that work
- To read through practice with over 200 stories at reading levels 1.0 to 10.5
